How Ladders Work

•A ladder is a ranking system in which each player has a specific rung (or rank).
•Everyone's goal is to reach the top.
•When you first join a ladder, you are placed at the very bottom.
•In order to move up, you must challenge players above you in rank.
•If you win your match, you take your opponent's rank and they move down 1 spot below you.
•As you climb higher on the ladder, your matches will increase in difficulty since the higher ranked players are up there.

Getting Started

•Sign up for an account here.
•Check your email and login with the password it gave you.
•Go to one of the ladders and join it.
•If it is a team ladder, get a partner to signup under your team. You will be listed under the partial teams list.
•If it is a non team ladder, you may start challenging players right away!

General Rules

•Once a challenge has been made, both teams have 5 days to complete the match. If a match is still in progress, both teams may be forfeited.
•When you lose a match, the loss must be reported immediately.
Grounds for removal from a ladder:
•The use of tweaks, cheats, modifications, add-ons, and game exploits.
•The use of profanity, insults, and general rudeness
•Repeatedly failing to report a loss
•Too many forfeit losses
•An extended period of inactivity

Frequently Asked Questions (last updated 08.09.2002)

Q: How many ranks upward can I challenge a player/team?
A: If you are ranked 1-9, you can challenge up to 4 ranks, 10-19...5 Ranks, 20-29... 6 ranks and so on

Q: What is skill?
A: It is a rating based on the difficulty of the opponents that the team plays against. The higher the skill rating of the opponents that you win against, the more your rating goes up. (Similar to the zone rating system)

Q: I've tried everything possible to contact my opponent but he/she doesn't repond. What do I do?
A: Go to the ladder that you're on and click the "request a forfeit" link.

Q: I've won my match but my opponent is not reporting the loss. What do I do?
A: Send a screenshot of your win to a moderator (just send it the email at the bottom of this page for now)
